Question MTM X-overs.

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of some good reading for MTM Crossovers? I've heard they're a real pain in the *** to get right, so I want to study up before I get my heart set on doing an MTM design. I've built x-overs before, but just 2 ways, nothing that complicated, but i'm lookin' for a challenge and I seem to have some spare time on my hands at the moment....

Any help is greatly appreciated,
Tristan

As far as I know concern is to have a crossover point at 2/3 of wavelength between centers of mid and tweeter. For this you have to have a tweeter with small faceplate so you can put them closer to each other. Usually it's a 6dB lowpass on bass and 18dB highpass on tweeter, but some other combinations are also possible.

Thanks!

If that's it, that's not so bad..... I've heard about them also, like you suggested, using odd ordered slopes, 1st order, and 3rd order. But then on another site, I heard that D'appolito was using 4th order now aswell.....
