GBP 5.00 (US$ 2.50) for a surplus drum of Cat 5E. And I've still got most of it left over

Speaker cables are reasonably priced at diyaudio.
They are much more expensive here: http://www.audioasylum.com/audio/cables/bbs.html... I use Cat5 braids and 12Ga. In the machine shop I used Romex. I have yet to purchase any $500 power cords. |

$3.99 for two 10 foot lengths. The orange color is key to the cables' quality.

I use the 4S11 version. Was around .75c/ft if I remember correctly. No difference to a 400$ cable I purchased at half price just to find out if I could hear a difference. |

$3.00 a metre at Tandy (Radio shack) with 60 cent banana plugs.
I prefer to spend money where it does something significant. |
