The dielectric properties are already compromised and will certainly vary with type and level of metal oxide loading. And we haven't even considered the titanite coupling agents used to bind the pigments in place- yes, that's right, yet another ceramic of unknown and dubious sound.

OK, how'd I do?
SY you should really start manufacturing audio cables. You wont even need a marketing department for hyping up your product

But to answer the first question. I got a very good deal from Tara Labs, they were happy with the salesnumbers in our store so i got 4500$ worth of cables for about 400$ if i remember correctly, i also got some interconnects for free. My cables cost more than the rest of my system combined
Insane? Sure it is...but they do sound good.

That's probably not far from the normal mark-up on cables and other accessories. A dealer might make as much profit from $1,000 worth of cables as he does from a $10,000 sound system. No wonder dealers recommend those high-price cables for your gear--gotta make a living.

It is true that the profit from cables and accessories is higher than for the rest of the sound system percentagevise. But for the dealer the difference is not nearly as large as $4500 to $400, i think i payed about one fifth of the normal in-price.
