Default marine audio

i was talking to some kids and they said marine audio is more expensive and over all it doesnt sound as good as car audio, im looking to put a good system inside my wakeboard boat that will have realy clear sound at high volumes. there are two speakers each in a ski well mounted on top, the holes are drilled out 5'' circles which could probly be redrilled to about 7 inch. anyway im wanting to put in a total of 4 speakers, i dont know much about audio so i dont know what kind of speakers i need, tweeter or mid range what ever the styles are but what ever they make that matches my request let me know what i should do. i will probly need an amp to cuz i would like to put an 8 or 12 inch sub under the passenger seat.

hear are some pictures

Default Marine audio

im getting a new system in my boat but people have told me to stay away from marine audio for the cost and the quailty. someone told me polk would be good to put in a boat and would work well.
what would you sugjest i do, i am wanting to put about $600 or more if thats what it takes to get a good clear sounding system at high volumes to hear over the engine.

there are 4 speakers, 2 under each ski well, they are drilled at 5 inch but could be drilled to fit 7 inch. i also want to put a 8 or 12 inch sub under the passneger seat so i might need an amp to push the speakers and sub
i will try to post some pics of the location of this stuff

There's good reason for marine equipment costing more.
The word *marine* is a good clue.
Marine equipment takes into account the wet/corrosive environment.

Also, I suggest plastic speakers, like polypropylene.
