Default placement of port

Quick question....Im almost completed with zaphs l18, and am on the port portion of the cabinet. Im placing a 2 inch port in the rear of the enclosure tuned @42 hz. My question is where the port should be located. Ive been reading that the the port should be behind the tweeter. Well currently the tweeter is off center due to the way the plans are designed. So...Now do I also place the port off center in the back or center with the rear baffle ?.....Also is what I read even correct??...should the port be behind the tweeter? Thanks guys.

Lete me know if you need me to clarify this a little better.
Thanks

It matters not where the port is placed. Just don't put it directly behind the bass driver. Apart from that shouldn't matter whether it's centred or not.
