Which is better? I tried spraying some shellac on a piece of maple wood and after a few layers, then sanding with 600 grit, then another 2 layers, it looks really nice.
But I heard lacquer is also very good. |

Read the above, and decide which you feel more comfortable with. Each has it's own quality, and some finishes look good on one wood, but not so good on another. |
