Default Peerless & Vifa 2-way project

I've read through the forums and many have their preferences on this topic, however I am still unable to decide. I have come back to two configurations:

(1)
Vifa XT25TG-30-04
Peerless 850439

(2)
Vifa XT25SC-30-04
Peerless 850594

The first one is without shielding, and the second one is with shielding. There is a price difference obviously but I am also wondering to the performance difference between the mid/woofer models. Would these drivers be hard to work with? Has anybody worked with any of these two alignments specifically?

P.S. This thread will serve as the log-book of my project as well. Any advice is welcome, but I am keen on using one of these setups because I like the way the peerless looks, and I have heard great things of the XT25.

There's something similar here using a 850467 but alas doesn't have all the details but could give you some ideas.

Thank you. I have seen that and many other sites. As you said not much information is given away on this website, and unfortunately the information I am looking for is the diy'ers testimony and specifics on the crossover network used. It seems that they are hard to work with, but I have already decided to go for the unshielded version (as it is both cheaper, and shielding is not required). I didn't go the phaseplug way because I know that it is definately too difficult of a job for me.
