Quick and semmingly dumb question. (maybe).
When building a cabinet from MDF, for lets say a 2way bookshelf, does it matter how the sidewalls are attached to the rest of the cabinet? let me clarify....should the sidewalls of the cabinet be outside the top and bottom boards or should the sidewalls be inside the top and bottom board? I hope this question can be understand. Also does it matter??...whats the differences, if any, in sound or will it make a difference later on when finishing. Thanks |

No it doe snot matter, but I have found it helpful to pick 4 sides and make them all the same length so I can cut them out of the sheet material at once. The I cut the other two sides slightly oversize and trim with a flush trim bit in a router.
