Hey folks,
I just sold the last of my first system, and picked up a set of Mission 763 floorstanders for a bargain €50. They seem to be a little bit bright (now with t-amp which is bright in the first place so it's getting fatigueing), so I was wondering if there are any simple/cheap mods I could do to dampen the brightness? Attached are a pic of the speakers |

If you don't want to revise the internal crossover network, try shelving the HF down a bit. A good non-inductive resistor in parallel with a low-resistance air core inductor; the combination in series with one of the (external) speaker leads. Inductor value will set the turnover frequency, resistor determines shelf depth. Just guessing values, start with 2 ohms in parallel with 4mH.
