Default Is this what I need to extend the reach of my 2 rear speaker satellites?

Just Purchased a "Logitech X-530 5.1 Speakers System" as seen >>here<<, however the leads on the satellites that connect to the sub/control unit are not long enough (has to be f/m as the leads are fixed to the satellite speakers.

After ages searching and trying to find the right extension leads I have come across this: http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView...=&SUBCATID=567

Is this what I need?
thanks for any help

if the plugs on the back of the logitech unit are RCA plugs (many of them are) then they would technically work yes, you will probably want a male to female cable, to extend the leads

edit: your other alternative, depending on if speakers are glued in or screwed in, is to unscrew the drivers, de-solder the original cable, then solder your own in place, i did this with some old altec lansing 641 rear surrounds years ago, whilst also stuffing the satelite boxes with polyfil.

cheers for the reply
but im not a soldiering guy

What Im after is a Female to male RCA extension lead (to make the distance from the speakers to the base/control box longer). The Leads are glued to the speakers so can not be replaced.

Im just not sure if this item that I linked to above is a Male to Female RCA cable or something else (it says RCA to RCA, but not F to M), so was wondering if anyone else knew if it was?

cheers

If it doesn't say, it's likely a male to male. If you can't find F to M then you can use those but you'll also need the little female to female connector and I don't see that on their site

cheers noodle_snacks, was just leaving dcksmiths as a last resort tho as from what I remember they are a rip off and all these hidden costs are killing me lol (had to buy a ceiling mount and a 10m VGA cable for the projector also + new curtains with blackout cloth ). as for Jaycar I dont think there are any near by.

lol yeah Cal Weldon i actually didnt even realise it was censored till u pointed it out haha.
And cheers for the link to the item, ill keep it in mind that I can use one of those (if i can find one in aus) if i can only get a male-male RCA cable.

Ive come across this also:
http://www.techflare.com.au/sales.as...bcat=2&search=
It is made for 2 speakers, so only need one for both the rear speakers, however it only 1.8m so I would need to buy 2 (costing $30pp), so will keep exploring my options, but at leads i hae somethign now .

edit:
wootaaa
http://www.pcsol.com.au/orders/order_cart.asp
2 speakers = 2 cables = $10pp

I hope the audio quality wont be effected tho, any comments on this ?
