The grill is definitely black. The boxes look nice, and are well made and rigidly braced.
Interestingly, the grill was damaged during shipping due to a combination of flimsy box and christmas season rush. They never sent me a new one, so I get to announce it publicly.

I'm in the middle of making my own satelite design with seas 27tdfc, and peerless 830875 woofer. It sounds pretty good if the seas has a couple db notch filter in the 2-6khz range to kill the brightness. Its taking so long to finish though because I decided I would build them biamplified with diy amp and active crossover.
