What is the reasonable maximum target SPL of the loudspeaker I should consider for 100 cub. metre room?
Thank you in advance. Tom |

Hi, as nobody else has replied I'll start with something..
When listening a few times I used a sound meter to determine the levels I enjoyed music at. Peaks of 95db in my seat meant the music was playing pretty loud. And about 70-80db average is a nice casual listening level. This was a small room with approx 91db/w/m speakers powered from about 25w rms, and it could go much louder, but sounded a bit strained. Is that a start for you? edit: I realise I've probably not helped you at all, what is it you want to do? Get some serious loudness going?

That's exactly what I've wanted to read.
Of course I take it into consideration with grain of salt, because preferences could be different, but as a rought estimation serves well. Serious loudness is out of the question. Thanks Tom |
