Default Any Place Online Where .frd Files Are Available?

The .frd file movement has been going on for some years now.

Isn't there someplace online where these files are collected and available?

I thought that was the idea from the beginning.

If you have a datasheet and/or graph you can easily create one with
SPL tracer : FRD consortium

In addition to the Seas datasheet, you can get the impedance and impedance phase by using Subwoofer Simulator, from which you can make frd and zma files.

So not be put off by the sloping amplitude response Subwoofer Simulator shows. That is another issue altogether, the author explains it separately.

The files from the datasheet and Subwoofer Simulator should be good to get your project done, if you can't get the frd and zma files from elsewhere.

hi
ive had a play with spltrace and splview, i can generate a file but all the point are squashed up to under 100hz instead of being spread out up to 10000hz, im pretty sure ive set the limits up ok. I get the impression i can use splveiw to spread them out again, but it wont even load the frd file beofre it crashes. All 4 computers ive got access to here have windows xp on them, and the program wont even work if i use the windows95 compatibility mode for that program.
Any ideas- or would anyone be able to trace the graphs found here: http://www.seas.no/seas_line/midrange/h1262.pdf

cheers,
matto.

edit- hmm i think ive figured it out- was inputting the data in the wrong way- should be ok now

Check what is the decimal separator of your configuration :
- comma
- point
And modify the .frd and .zma files in consequence.

thanks
i worked out it works best if you use the keyboard to enter the results- i thought the greyed out box that appears on the left of the screen was a bug, but its the edge of the crosshairs. I was just clicking points on the graph with my mouse hence all the graph was squashed up.

been reading about the full suite of frd programs- now ive got my head around what they all do they look like quite a powerful little set of programs- hehe thats my evening planned out now

my girlfriend thinks im such a geek sometimes

There are published frd data in HobbyHifi magazine (http://www.hobbyhifi.de), only in German tough. I wish it'll be in English one day.
