My surround has started to come off of some Alpine Type R 10" subwoofer I have in my car. It is no longer attached to the driver structure itself, but is attached to the cone.
My thoughts are that I should detach it from the entire structure, clean off the old glue, and reglue it with ? (my thoughts are rubber cement, but I have no idea). The surround is neoprene rubber (as far as I can tell). |

Rubber cement is fine, but depending on the repair you might need to remove the dustcap and shim the voice coil. Folded paper or card will do.
