Default What type of enclosure??

Hello everyone,

I recently bought some 15" Zeuz PA speakers (type 15 400 HC), and measured the t/s paremeters:

Fs: 33.5 Hz
Qms: 5
Qes: 0.75
Qts: 0.65
Vas: 304 L

The drivers will be used for discoboxes, but I'm not sure what type of enclosure to use (high qes and qts...). Does anyone have a suggestion?

best regards

Erwin

That's a very high Qts, you will be restricted to sealed boxes, unless you can tolerate an absolutely massive box. You might be able to salvage something using a vented box with QB5 alignment. See the ESP website article.

Thats good news!

But I've got one question: Is a TL system less efficient than a sealed system or not?

As far as I know it has no influence on the directly radiated higher frequencies.

In that case it's worth a try. Everything will be an improvement when listening to these drivers in sealed boxes, because the bass is really bad... No low end at all.
