Did anybody try to use these drivers to build high end line array towers ,or any other type of loudspeaker system?
I would like to hear your opinion about quality and nature of sound of these drivers. Here are the links Tweeter Mid/tweeter |

You have to define the term High End.
I'm pretty sure these speakers are nice (I have a variant of those in my Mac), but I would not qualify them as high-end. Efficiency is very very low and although it can be dealt with in arrays, they are still as fast as cows so transients might not be on par with true high end designs. It might be fun to build a pair of arrays with those, but the end result might not be on par with other high end designs. Frequency curve is one thing and dynamics are another, and I would choose dynamics (efficiency) over FR curve anytime. There's a popular belief that if you pump enough power you can compensate for lack of efficiency, but fine musical detail, dynamics and music contrast are achieved more with driver efficiency than amp power. |
