I recently build a parallel xover version for the Eros speaker but the speaker still have a bit of sibilance that I want to reduce. My xover currently uses Solen but I am looking for something that will reduce sibilance a bit.
Do you think it will be worth it to upgrade the tweeter xover with all Mundorf caps? |

Use SCR tinfoil as the cheapest cap with sweet sonics. Try to evaluate if you miss a little midrange. Missing midrange always tones up treble, and sibilance is tell tale when it is happening.

Do an impedance test on the system, if there is a peak in the mid range section, try getting rid of it first.

Have you tried adding small bypass caps to the main caps? It may help.
I added 22nf (10nf is recommended with some caps) polys to my crossover caps (SCR and MCAPs) and it made a marked improvement - the sound is smoother and more refined without loss of detail. |
