I'm looking for silver-plated OFC with teflon jack cables for internal wiring. I came across DH Labs Siliver Sonic T-14 which looks good and not much expensive ($4/ft). Vandenhul SCS-16 wiring cable is interesting as well.
I read some threads here, e.g. teflon v.s. pvc, etc. People tend to say this is a religous topic, but I wonder what other choices are. What are your favorite cables for internal wiring. Thanks. |

Yep, because many people like myself will tell you to save your money and not waste it on marketing BS. Just pick up some OFC wire off ebay. Or some Cat5. It'll save you a bundle and you won't hear any difference. Because there isn't any. Unless of course, you really want to believe there is a difference, in which case, you should get the opinion of a "true audiophile" who can "hear the difference" between components that have no bearing on actual audio reproduction.

Hi there
I have used T-14 before and it works really great. You have two advantages using a silver plated teflon cable. First is that the insulation does not melt when you solder the cable. The other is that the silver plating prevents oxydation. And, yes, despite Mr. Fokker's comments, at least you know that the cable is not limiting the sound quality of your speaker. Highly recommended at the price! W |
