Hello,
I Plan to build a 3 way speaker with a high sensitivity medium-treble coax (phl coax???) passive filtered and a woofer self powered. What do you think about the concept, and which driver to use.??? I was thinking using 6" (1520) or 8" phl coax (I don't know which 1" driver to mount on the back of phl : radian?, beyma?, bms?). Any other idea??? Thanks for your help. Hugues |

Hi Hugues,
I've done something vaguely similar, using a 8" KEF UniQ coax (passive) and several Audax woofers powered by a plate amp. I of course saw no need to choke the sound with a box, so it might not be quite what you are looking for Good luck with your project. Cheers, AJ

Another idea for a 3 way coax would be a 15" prosound driver with a 2" CD and using a BMS 4590/4592 2" coax CD. I've been using the BMS 4590 in my horns for years. |
