Has anyone had experience of these speakers?
I may have an opportunity to buy a number of them cheaply. The general design appeals, but I've never heard them, and won't have an opportunity before making an offer. Any comments? |

Without doubt the HL1 is the worst speaker I've ever owned, garbage drive units looks so cool too! I'd seriously advise you to pass, I bought a pair after David Prakel in Hi-Fi Answers passed favourable comment on them, he could not have heard them.

Thanks for the useful reply.
Pity, I was hoping they'd sound rather like the Impulse horns

I wouldn't go as far as Calvert, but they are fairly average. As with all these things though, it depends on how much they want for them!

Well, I was doing some A/V work in a church hall the other day, and there was a scruffy Lecson being used as a table. I remarked on it to the caretaker, who said that they had several of them knocking around doing nothing!
I was thinking of making them an offer |

She also said that they had lifeted the lid off one of them and found a packet of biscuits inside
