The crossovers must be specific to the drivers in question - are these identical to the ones used? If not, then its not much use copying it.

Not long ago I found a link showing some one in Europe cloning,or copying as much as possible. I cant find it in my favourites right now{dont you hate that!},but I posted it on this forum, surely a search can reveal it??

I dont think its very likely youl find information due to : The people buying these speakers probably who could open them up? arent technically minded - or they wouldve cloned it themselves!

If you've got those speakers, I'd try whipping up a better version of the crossover, and iron out all the faults in the existing speakers. Admittedly I haven't heard them since version 4, but I can't believe they've improved much.

http://www.audioperfectionist.com/PD.../APJ_WD_21.pdf say it much better than I can - I just tend to say 'boom-tizz'.

hi all thank for replies. let me to clear my self-now when I am writing I listening to spekers with very similar tweeter and midrange. they measure 400hz 22khz +-2hz , goeas as low as 35hz . this is average speaker. I builded 5-8 times more expensive and better in variuos terms.

the point to build clone is make speaker ultimately close to originals. I am not expecting something very special at all ,and I am not trying to improove it. the times when manufacturer spekers was mystic is gone

when I building good speker I try do do that they have flat FR Response decay, transient response etc. manufacturers seems do not do this. I wonder why. and want to see how does it sounds. to audition speaker is show for a 5 minutes is not the same when you have it a home .

by the way very nice david speakers. they don not have anything except wiew (well tweeter is td120tdx-later version of ti120 coated with titanium oxid)of watt/puppy6/7

mike if you will find this link in my favourites could you send it. yah I know -I have arround 200in my favourites
