Hi,
I'm a newbie in speaker design and playing with a tool like, Speakerworkshop, TrueRTA, WinSpeakerz. Someone told me there exists datasheet files to import into speaker design software. Where can I find this kind of data ? I'm interested in Scanspeak and Vifa drivers. There is also some measurement data, by a third-party like magazine test. I know that Hobby Hifi, a German audio magazine, has done some measurements, but not sure where data is. I'm testing a speaker built from a ready-made design, but just realized that my driver is 8-ohm impedance, while the original design is 4-ohm. The prototype speaker sounds ok, but I'm not sure what to do. Should the xover be adjusted ?? Some people mentioned to use Speakerworkshop for xover design. What tool is for enclusure volume calculation ? People refer to Martin's tables which seem to be hard to follow, for me. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. |
