First go at it without a guide or kit..............HELP!!!!!

Hello Everyone,

I am David from the US......................

I enjoy perusing through these web sites and learning more about applications for the xt25. I have just ordered a pair of the 830875's to pair up with the xt's in a two way. This will be my first go at it without a premade and tested combo. My interest lies in learning the most from my new SoundEasy software and hardware as well as starting to develop my crossover design and measurement skills.

I am looking for a little educated guidance here. I assume it would be best to get the actual T/S measurements from MY drivers then build the enclosures followed by re-testing the T/S measurements when the drivers are mounted in the actual enclosures. Then arrive at a starting point for xo development.

Am I thinking clearly here.....................or is my newbie mind missing something. Any suggestions? Here are the specs if you like:

Test the drivers on an Infinite baffle(a 4 x 8 sheet of MDF will work good) and then build the box of those parameters. Test the frequency response and whatever else you need for a crossover design in a final box.
