Default Outdoor help please?!?!

Hello!

I am going to be building a stereo system that would only be used outdoors and am looking for some help with the design.

My primary concern is for it to be loud but i obvously do not want it to sound like complete poo.

I would like it to be plenty loud to be used in open space with plenty of bass for a drunken croud of college kids etc.. to enjoy.

I have built plenty of indoor home audio equiptment and have been using one set of nice towers outdoors but the bass is extremely lacking.

I have not been able to find much online about something along these lines so if someone could point me in the direction or give me some tips, that would greatly be appreciated.

Price wise i would like to keep as low as possible, a dollar figure has not been made as of now. But i dont want to spent as much in drivers and amps then i would buying it out of the box.

I have been concidering the Lab12 Horns, would this fit my application well?

It sounds like you need PA equipment to do the job right. If you just want to boost the bass levels, I would suggest one of the designs at the link below. You probably can't touch their performance to cost ratio with even used stuff. They will still take some skill to build, but nothing like the Labs.
