Default Time for a new pair of speakers. Looking at the highend kits.

Well I think it is time to upgrade the speakers in my HT setup. I know I could play around with my own design but I want something that someone has put all the work into and I can just build or copy. I am also considering just buying something just to make life a bit easier. My criteria for these speakers is true high end sound and the ability to play down to 30hz. The kit I am considering is the seas Thor from either madisound or zalytron(zalytron seems to cost less, how come?). I am also looking at the Phenomenal 3 but I think I want a speaker using SEAS Exel drivers or Accuton drivers. My other option would be to pick up a pair of hr824 mackies. I feel that these are great monitors and any speaker worth spending over $1000 DIY should meet or exceed their performance. I am still in the planing stages so I would love to hear some opinions here.

Check out the Eros MKII. There are a lot of possitive feedbacks on them. http://www.speakerbuilder.net/web_fi...ct/erosmk2.htm
