Default Xover advice for first 3way project

I'm planning on building a 3way system using a Vifa XT19 tweeter, dayton reference 5" or 6", and two dayton reference 8". I've never designed my own xovers. I'm concerned about phase, xover points, and slopes. Any help or reading material would be great. Thanks

A 3-way is very ambitious for a first project but you will learn a lot.

Get a copy of the Loudspeaker Design Cookbook by Vance Dickason and have a read about some of the basics on design in the wiki.
