You are all making some good points, Im surprised nobody has mentioned the side effects of powerful springs/suspensions to counteract the pressure force- mainly the T/S parameters. With a large spring overshadowing the spider and surround there will be almost no damping, in addition the natural frequency will be extremely high, not good for woofers. Think of sqrt(k/m) = Fs Fs is natural frequency(approximated), k is spring stiffness, and m is mass of moving assembly.
Plus the mass of these components will lower sensitivity, what kind of cone would be needed to withstand vacuum?
