would it be possible/advisable to build a crossover similar to this:
I currently have midbass to midrange horn with a passive 24dB/Oct LR crossover at 1250Hz, this will be dropped to about 600Hz shortly (4th order LR still) I could do to add some supertweets because the horns start to roll of at 16kHz and have some dome breakup around 12kHz. could I use my current Xover and instead of using the highpass to drive the Horn, use the highpass to drive a 1st or 2nd order series Xover (at about 8-14kHz) which would then have the horn and supertweet driven off that? is there a problem with cascading series and parallel filter like this? |
