Hello,
I am considering the Tang Band 28-847S as a mate to an Extremis6, crossed at 4K. The spl is close and I'm fond of domes. Any opinions on this? |

Assuming you want to do a two-way there is nothing wrong with the TB tweeters but the Seas 27TDFC or other varients are probably worth spending the extra money on. I'd also cross the tweeter as low as you can reasonably go. I'd aim for 2.5K or there abouts depending on what the measurements on the baffle look like.

You will want to consider using that woofer in a 3 way system. Strong low end but the mids are not up to snuff in my ears. If you mate it with CSS WR125 and then the tweet, I think you'll be much happier.

Thanks guys!
![]() @ Cal - Then to me it would just make sense to mate a FR125 and delete the tweeter all together. 3-ways remind me of the words of James Doohan - "The more complex the plumbing, the easier it is to stop-up the drain!"

If you like top end as I do, I found the FR doesn't get there. Don't get me wrong, it's a great little driver but it seems to be at it's best on it's own.
I've heard the Extremis, WR and (Arum Cantus?) ribbon together and the music is sweet. Timn8ter and RAW both have version worth looking into. |
