a lot of speakers have treated cones

I doubt I would want to buy it and apply it myself though

it can do quite a few bad things if not done right

I'm not familiar with the ATC speakers, so let me ask you a question. What is the sticky stuff to be used for? For the life of me, I can't imagine why you'd want to use something like that. For cone "doping" there are a lot of homebrew substances, with different properties that DIY'ers are using. It greatly depends on what you're trying to achieve and at what frequencies are being damped. IOW; do you want to stiffen the cones for breakup or to extend the FR or just clean up the midrange or........?
Another thought is, that whatever they (ATC) use, it's addressing a particular problem that they have with their units. If you're using different drivers then it may call for a different (or no) solution.
I'm sorry if I'm not understanding what you want to know, but these are some considerations to keep in mind.

infact ,i don't understand what are you doing too !

resin coating are many,some for dome and others for cone.

and the industry have their own type,do you think to find the same resin coating of the atc?
impossible.

I would like to play around with this stuff just out of curiousity and see how it influences sound and frequency response and etc...that`s all.

I once got a little bottle of this stuff from a guy who used to mod old EV wideband drivers. Even though he was of German mother-tongue he used to call that stuff by the English term "damping compound".
Maybe you will find a source on the web.

If you want to experiment, try doing a search on this site using "damping", cone damping, doping, etc,. Also try the Fullrange driver forum and Audio asylum forums as well. You should get a lot of hits from those. This a subject that has been extensively covered over the years.

ATC at last reply and solve my problem by selling this damping fluid at the cost of Gbp 23.00 including shipping.

Personally I can't see them selling it either.

I've spoken with Bob, Diane and Billy down at ATC a few weeks ago so I'll ask them if this is actually true.
