1> I told my Dad I wanted to build my own Amp, and he suggested that I build my own speaker. He says that it's possible to make a better speaker....I've heard of making your own mics from radioshack equipment, but speakers?
2>Also I'm not sure what speaker's I want to buy...I'm kind of a rocker/punk-rocker. But....I don't want my sound to be a slave of some uber-distortion speaker. I have a vintage Honeytone practice amp, and I personally hate it. Does anybody have suggestions?

baisicly it depends on your budget and the room size.
since you have no experience on speaker design, you should definetly build a ready design ( kit ) and not buy drivers and crossover of your own choice, since it needs a lot of advanced work to make them all work properly. check this link, you may find something that suits your needs. http://home1.stofanet.dk/troels.gravesen/ |

Hmmm...
The speakers on the link seem very high quality... but also rather pricy, with little construction detail, and not necesarily what Nemo... wants. Jennice
