I've got a pair of Bandor 50mm drivers for a project that will be on hiatus for a few months. Want to test them? Let me know.

Are those available somewhere in the United States?
Generally, I like to test drivers in groups to make the results more meaningfull. With the latest version of Soundeasy, my testing methodology has changed a bit, so there's no adding on to my old tests. Today I can't test a new mindriver and compare it directly to my old tests, any new test I do has to stand alone. If I can get a grouping of new drivers together, it may be worthwhile. Then I could throw in a B3S or NS3 for comparison to be tested with my current software. Is there anyone else who wants some small drivers tested that I have not tested before? I need at least 4 drivers to make it worth while. John

I don't know if anyone has one to loan you, but I would love to see some Fostex FE167's, or other "full range" drivers. People talk about how great things are without a crossover, but how do they really measure up?

Yeah Zaph, you tested the Tang Band fullrange, then the Hi-Vi...
Maybe some Fostex and newer WR125S and FR125S.

My guess'd be that they "measure up" pretty rough, most Fostex drivers use cone resonances to extend frequency response(the bigger the driver, the bigger the culprit).
Of course, some people find this likeable, but it isn't exactly accurate. I suppose it depends a lot on your own goals. |

Also, try a set of the new Titanium-cone and Bamboo/Paper Tang Band speakers that Parts Express has. And throw in the B3S and NS3 drivers for the good measure. I'm interested to see some tests of how these interesting new drivers measure up. Both have neo magnets. I'm particularly interested to find out if the Titanium-cone Tang Band woofers have nasty resonances because of the cone material.
