Milestones speakers (kind of Avalon clone)

I've translated the pdf files about the Milestones speakers as described in a previous thread to html:

Any suggestions for filtering are welcome!!! I'm struggling a bit with the harshness of the midtoner. The latest filter is attached.

Your filter is a parallel/series hybrid, did you check Tony Gee's website of the "Soup" ?

Your freq response (measured), is it done with MLS? Like in HobbyBox?

I use HobbyBox with it's MLS function to blend out the room reflections. That way I measure from 375hz and up without taking the reflections into the measurement. It's then much easier to tweak the filter network and see what "creates"the harshness in your speaker design.

Btw. I live in Venlo so you live nearby (geldrop)

I think marc is inspired by the xXx (avalon clone) a guy on htforum.nl build over the last couple of years

I indeed do have contact with Tony (Soup) and Erik (XxX).

I've tried Tony's filter extensively:

Erik's XxX design is very different from mine:

The filters I develop are also applied (in modified form) in Ruud's Violators, which are more close to Erik's XxX:

I'm inspired by the Avalon Opus Ceramique designs (but respect their intellectual property, so I'm not trying to replicate them literally), and by Gydotron's designs:

For the midrange harshness I would try to reduce the output between 1-2kHz....
