Newbie questions -
I've decided to rebuild an old pair of donated DCM TF 1000's. One of the 3" drivers has a gouge in it, but I don't know what to replace it with. On the back, it says:

HDM100A
8 Ohm 405
1460

Also, there are two layers of grill cloth. The inner one has some sort of black foam material on its inside, but it is deteriorating badly. What can I use to replace it with?

Any other rebuilding tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Dan

re. the 3" driver replacement - why not contact DCM or an authorized service location for the recommended driver?

regarding the cloth wrap, DCM says it's integral to the design of the speaker's acoustics and specially designed for the speaker.

depending on how you're gonna be using the speakers, you might wanna have an authorized service center fix 'em.

good luck to ya!

k.
