15w/8530-k01 + D2905/9500 Or 15w/8530-k00 + D2905/9700

I am thinking of making these my next project after a two way floor stander.

Which one should I go for? is the 9700 worth its asking price.

Should I go for the 9500 plus Hovland caps? or 9700 and cheap cap?

I would go for 9700 with SCR mkp caps. (Btw this will be my next project, with two 18W/8546 )

I've used the 15W/8530-K01 in a closed cabinet of 15 litre combined with a 9900. But I think the 9500 or 9700 will also be a good choice. All Scanspeak stuff is expensive, price wise the 9500 is the better choice 90-95% of the perfomance of 9700.

I've opted for the 9770 with Volt BM220.8 woofers in an mtm config.

Pretty much the same combo here, except my SS tweeter was the 97000. They were paired in a project call the "Intimates". Do a search here or on Google or at Parts Express Tech Talk forum. I've detailed a design that gets down to 40 hz in a vented 15L cabinet. The xo is patterned after the infamous Sonus Faber Extrema design. Only 3 parts and NO cap.
