I've been looking for some decent bookshelf speakers for a little while for my den, and noticed a guy selling components on Ebay at a decent price. He has a kit with 2 Boston Acoustics (or so it says) 4.5" woofers, a Boston dual woofer crossover (it does say Boston in the pic), terminal block, and a JSD tweeter for $22.50. (item# 5786421125). He also has a few other kits.
I'm surprised he can sell them this cheap. Can I reasonable expect to build something comparable to a PSB Alpha or small Boston speaker from components like this?

A follow up question, since nobody chimed in - more general this time:
Is it reasonable to expect a decent full range sound from a bookshelf size speaker made using two 4.5" drivers? Or is this just simply too small? I'm hoping for something for my den, which is only 10'x11' in size, and doesn't need to shake the walls. This ebay deal caught my eye because it seems like a good deal to get two Boston 4.5" drivers and a crossover for $20 (and a cheap tweeter). But if decent bass is unlikely with these, then I will look to something else. Most bookshelf designs seem to start with 5.5 or 6.5" drivers, so I have to wonder...

It could work ok, if the crossover is meant for the tweeter and woofers hes selling with it, and if you can find the box dimensions for the same model. I wouldnt expect anything more than 'ok' bass from those 4.5" drivers though.
