Default amplifier output impedence matching for tweeter

Just read an article on ampplifier impedence and damping factor in controlling the speaker and find it very interesting. If one uses electronic crossover and use one amp to control the tweeter, is low amplifier output impedence still important? In some tweeters, the impedence can be quite low <4ohms, but the cone doesn't have to moves a lot??
