Default $300 Floorstander

What are my options for around 300 dollars in drivers and x-o components, in a completed design?

I really like the Dave Brown db717TL design, but I think that the TL cabinet might be a bit much, but are there any other good MTM or other designs in this price range, most designs I find are either more or less, I'd really like an Eros but it's a bit much for my budget.

If I had $300 and wanted the UPS man to bring me something I could put together in a night or two ...... I'd order up a Zaph L18 . Can you build a crossover ?

No problem soldering up an x-over, I am pretty confident in my ability to do that (never soldered an x-over but soldered other electronics).

I would suggest you go look for kits at madisound.com or partsexpress.com (I personally prefer madisound) and find what suits you the most.

Default Another floorstander design

Dennis Murphy has a floorstander design using a pair of Vifa drivers priced around $200 US. You can find it at:

www.murphyblaster.com

The speaker is titled The New Vifa Tower.
