Peerless SLS10 questions

I've been looking for woofers to pair with the Tannoy 2046 dual concentrics I'm using for mids/highs in my new speaker, and one one of the drivers I'm considering (based on my experience with the 8" version) is Peerless's SLS10. (Other woofers I'm considering include the Peerless CSX10 and the Dayton RS270.) I've read the threads here that mention it, and here are some questions I have over and above what was covered in those threads.

-How high has anyone here used them? My current thinking is that I'd really like to use the woofers up to about 400Hz. That would enable me to deal with the baffle step without losing much (if any) efficiency, and is what Tannoy did on their outstanding old Definition speakers.
-What do they look like? Do they have the same nubby-looking cone surface as the SLS8?
-Did HobbyHiFi or K+T ever review these? If so, what did their measurements show?
