Vifa MTM vs Vifa 3 way

I'm wondering if there are suggestions on deciding between the following two driver selections for my main speakers:

MTM with:
2 Vifa P17WJ-00 (6.5" woofer)
1 Vifa D27TG-35 (1" silk dome tweeter)

--- OR ---

3 Way with:
1 Vifa P21WO-20 (8" woofer)
1 Vifa D75MX-41-08 (3" Textile Dome Midrange)
1 Vifa D27TG-35 (1" silk dome tweeter)

All feedback is appreciated.

In terms of design requirements, I'm looking for floor standing Main Speakers to play independantly (i.e. no sub woofer) and also as the two Front Mains for a 5.1 surround system. Most importantly is playing independantly.

Why not get the XT25? It is an excellent tweeter...

I picked the same mid and tweeter, and the Peerless CSX 8", for a 3-way active I'm working on. Behringer DCX2496 is the crossover.

I'm interested in others' experience with these drivers as well.
