Default Side-firing Mids

Hi all,

what do you think of side-firing midrange speakers? I've heard this speakers from Bösendorfer on a exibition and was quite impressed, especially with the off-axis response.

Reminds me of a dbx speaker that fired in 8 directions for the highs, and 4 directions for the lows.
