Default Afterburner driver/port placement

I am in the process of building a pair of Thorsten's Afterburners. My cabinets are 44 h x 20w x 14 d (157 litres). I am looking for some guidance as to best location for the driver and port. I have an old Goodman's design that would indicate placing the driver very close to the top, maybe 1.5 inches from the edge. Their design has the port about 6 inches from the bottom, on the front panel. Do these dimensions seem appropriate? Thanks for your help.
Jim
