I'm currently working on the wattt/puppy clone. But insteat of using the seas and focal I'm going to use the scanspeak's 8545k and 2904/9800 tweeter. I plan to use constraint layer damping with 1" mdf outside, 1/8 damping material and 3/4 baltic birch. What type of adhesive should I use to laminate them together? I am also new to the diy world and building the watt/puppy clone to go with my amp( krell Audio Standard). This is my first pair. I have all the woodworking tools to do the job. I want this project to turn out right so any advice or suggestion are welcome. Please point me in the right direction.
Thanks Minh |

Use polurethane glue and spread a thin and even layer.
Use many weights to hold the two boards together.put a small nail in the corners or somewhere to keep the boards from sliding sideways as the glue sets. You can use PU glue with just about anything but if what you are glueing does not contain moisture you have to manually spray some on it with a spray bottle.
