I want to build a very small seaker for my desk. I have in stock a pair of SS 9800 Alu tweeters and I search for a pair of 4" mid-woofers.
My choice (for the moment) are :
Seas L12RCY
Seas Excel W12CY
Eton 4-300.

The box will not be more than 5 liters and I want to use a driver with a stiff cone.
The 2 Seas are interesting but of very low sensitivity (85 dB). Eton is little better (around 88 dB).
If anyone has some experience with these drivers, advices are welcome.

I use the Seas W12 in a small 2 way with a Scan Speak 9300. The sound is very good. The bass is quite allright for me as I don't listen very loud generally. I was inspired in parts by Geenius web site (great site Tony). I did a parallel filter on that one and kind of upgraded the enclosure. Maybe I will try the recommended serie filter soon (the 9300 looks similar to the Seas 27 Tafc/g in FR, imp and parameters.)

Anyway, careful with the resonances of metal cone. This can be really anoying.
