Default User Friendly Crossover design software

I have collected quite a few woofers and tweeters over the years with the intent to put them to use in various two-way bookshelf enclosures. This of course contingent upon finding the right software for calculating crossover points, etc. What is the most user-friendly "crossover building for dummies" and FREE software out there? Where can I download it? I'm hoping some of the loudspeaker veterans here will be able to give me some helpful advice on this. Thanks.

First, you must measure your drivers' acoustical and electrical frequency response in their (near-)completed enclosures. Then and only then will you be confident that those nice graphs you see in simulations are actually correct in both the computer world and the real world.

Free? Speaker Workshop measures, simulates and optimizes after you go past its 'different' user interface. Jeff's spreadsheets are a must see over at the FRD Group. Speaker Workshop was written to handle any passive filter design you may think of -- not just the classical filters you see in books. Crossover Simulator can simulate any passive filter as well, but you'll have to excuse its very rushed user interface. It was written during my semester break a few years ago

Enjoy!

Hey, nice work! Will you be continuing to update it? Or is it an 'orphaned' project? If orphaned, any chance on releasing the source code? I'd like to port it to my Mac

It was more like dormant I've only recently gone back to studying, so I've more free time. I've been enjoying my recently finished WTW speakers. The last time I built a multi-way speaker was 10 years ago!

XoverSim is now back in development, but I've other things to take care of at the same time... You know... part-time work and studies -- the usual distractions from this hobby So a functional update won't be out any time soon.

cheers!

Isaac
