I have prototyped a speaker using the Heil AMT and 2 Klipsch 10" 1089-av each in a dipole arrangement to correct for baffle step. I am using a first order series crossover, Z=1 at 2200 Hz, and it sounds really good. Transients are excellent - no echoing of the drumsticks - as these mid-woofs were made to keep up with a horn tweeter. I seem to be hearing a slight presence peak as the front mid-woof starts to beam. I will attempt to correct this by lowering the crossover frequency and doing some frequency scans. Just got them up and running this weekend. I would not suggest this for PA applications - you would want to use a higher order xover.
