Default Baffle Step Calculations? Help!

Baffle Step? Help Required

I am building a home cinema installation into my lounge, and to keep everything neat and tidy and for WAF, I have decided to build my main speakers flush fitting to either side of the chimney breast (Where the plasma screen is to go). So in effect both channels will be on one large 2.5 metre wide baffle that runs from floor to ceiling, with the left channel on the left edge and the right channel on the right edge. How can I calculate the baffle step/compensation for this?

Over to the more knowledgeable speaker gurus out there!

How far will they be from the wall? My first thought is little or no BSC will be required, but there are many others more knowledgeable on the subject.

edit: conventional figuring places the f3 of a 2.5 meter baffle at roughly 45 hz; I have no idea what the ramifications are of drivers on the edges of a shared baffle.

The chimney breast only protrudes 14" from the rear wall, so the front of the baffle will be 14" from the rear wall.

Oh to be able to build them into the walls themselves and not have to worry about baffle step at all!!!

If the speakers are against the wall, you don't have to worry about BSC even with the baffle out into the room.
