I've designing a pair of speaks for my computer, and are using Dayton Audio components for a Medium sized bookshelf (H 12" x W 8" x D 11") and am using the the Classic 6-1/2" woofer and the 3/4" tweeter. The impedances and sensitivities are different, is there anything I can do to match them? Or is there another tweeter I can use that is that inexpensive and a better match ($4-5 is really the limit for me to spend on tweeters) Thanks guys,
Matt |

The tweeter impedance and sensitivity don't really matter. You can adjust them with an Lpad.
You really should measure the FR and impedance with something like Speaker Workshop. And if you haven't already, pick up a copy of "the Loudspeaker Design Cookbook". It will make things a lot easier. BTW, the links dont work for me. |

If I'm using an 8 ohm l-pad will I have to use a resister to bring the tweeter to 8 ohms? Also, would 10-12 watts be enough for a tweeter's resister?
Thanks, matt |

Thanks, how does it work? Do you seriously just plug in impedance and desired SPL? also, here's the working link for the Dayton 3/4" Tweeter Has anybody used the tweeter themself? If so, how does it sound?
Thanks, Matt |

It should work fine.
However try some different values up and down and listen. I would recomend a wheat beer to go with this,it makes the ears more sensitive somehow.
