What kind of damage? Maybe it would be easier just to patch it up.

That looks fixable to me if it doesn't have to look purty or be stressed within an inch of its life. If it's paper, maybe thin some aliphatic wood glue like Elmer's with water 1:1, paint a very small amount only at the torn edges & any bad creases (you don't want to create a bulky 'seam' or stiffen the repaired area excessively) then hold together in desired shape until the glue starts setting.
