Skinnyboy,

I may be dense, but what is your point? You changed your mind or what?
BTW 3 of the 4 above links appear dead.

Default I think I got an idea . . .

Build a MTMW or TMMW, I don't know what tweeters you should use.

If I had those speakers i would put the mids in a cabinet where one mid goes one way and the other fires in a different direction. Like 135 degrees between the surfaces of the woofers. I think it would be tricky to predict the compbined FR and dispersion and you have to find the right angle. But with a little thinking it could be predicted and you would have really good dispersion. It would be a really fun experiment for me personally.

Anyway you don't need 4 tweeters...
So you can give me the 2 H881 !

Default funny that...

I just ordered a pair each of the same Peerless units.
Been meaning to do this for a couple of years now...
I was thinking of building a 100 L copy of the Tannoy "York" BR cab for them (the triangular cab that fits in a corner).
However, I've gone off ported cabs and had some encouraging success with Karlson-slotted pipes, so maybe I'll buy some Formatube (less work too), but maybe the 850416 is too low Q for that?

I aslo wondered how the 850416 would go as a 2 way crossed over at ~ 1KHz with a suitable tweeter (chambered Vifa??),but chickened out - the 850488 gets good raves here so thought I'd go the whole hog...

Cheers,
Pete McK
